Matt Belcher is the NAHB-BCS 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award Winner !
Matt, Winner of the NAHB-BSC Lifetime Achievement Award and Two-time Builder of the year, is a nationally-recognized builder, author, trainer and consultant on the business of high performance buildings and development. He has been actively involved in the construction industry for over three decades, including six years as a top building codes official in the St. Louis region.
He is also past Director of the High Performance Buildings Research Center, part of the Midwest Energy Efficiency Research Consortium at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was 2007 President of the St. Louis Home Builders Association and was recently honored as a "Life Director" on the Board of Directors of National Association of Homebuilders. He is Past Chairman of NAHB’s Green Building & Energy sub-committee also serving on NAHB’s Building Codes and Standards sub-committees.
He has served on National Code development committees including Energy & Water and Residential Energy and Building Code Committees.
Matt has testified in front of the U.S. House Energy and Air Quality Subcommittee, the U.S. House High Performance Buildings Caucus on the economic advantages of high performance buildings. In 2015, He was invited to the White House to discuss the business impacts of the Clean Power Rule with White House Staff.
Matt proudly serves on the Advisory Board of Directors for Operation Finally Home; an organization providing mortgage free homes to injured/disabled/Ill Veterans
20+ years of experience in the construction industry. Steven has managed projects from residential, commercial and industrial sectors with budgets in excess of $50-million & 100+ employees. Steven has been a distributor and regional sales manager for panelized systems, as well as, providing onsite training for contractors and installers. He has also been instrumental in the research, development, and testing of panelized systems for the FEMA 320/361 standards for 250 mph storm shelter and safe room guidelines
Jim is co-founder and CFO after a 20 year career as Director of Finance (DOF) for Accenture, a Global Business Consulting Company serving in its St Louis Office. Prior to that Jim served as DOF Heartlands;(Combined St Louis and Kansas City Offices)
· where he conceived and implemented Client Financial Management (CFM) to track the profitability of each client contract in the Heartlands
· Jim also teamed with other DOFs to implement CFM in all global Market Units
Jim·led a small global team to develop and implement software to estimate the cost of proposed work for clients
· DOF Client Financial Management, Central Region, New York and New Jersey and
· DOF Client Financial Management, Global Finance Market Unit
Jim founded Woodruff and Company
· which built, sold and managed commercial office properties.
·Prior to that Jim served as CFO of Piamco Inc and Topco; a natural resource development company that discovered, amassed and contracted properties to major power, oil and gas companies
· And was VP and CFO of Texas Oklahoma Port Company in Port Arthur, Texas that transferred coal & coke from rail cars to ocean going vessels bound for Japan.
Jim also worked for Arthur Andersen & Co
· as Auditor for that Big 8 public accounting firm and with
Peabody Coal Company as a
· Project feasibility analyst.

Experienced Master Craftsman in Carpentry, Electric, Plumbing and Fine finishes. Gary has done many major projects including Leading a complete retrofit of an Historic 130 year old City home and a signature conversion of an "old hay barn" into an advanced, energy efficient, stunning residence with a loft!
